Happy TBH Tuesday! ☕
Here’s your weekly dose of thought-provoking content…
1. One Thought (T):
As a visionary, I’ve explored every possibility. And yet…I’ve noticed something unexpected along the way.Limits are what move the needle forward.
I used to think I needed endless possibilities to be creative.
↳ But the best ideas have always come when I’ve had restrictions.
↳ When the options are fewer, I’m forced to think deeper.
I tried creating content for every platform.
↳ But I was spread too thin and couldn’t grow anywhere.
↳ Limiting my focus allowed me to make real progress where it mattered.
I’ve even experimented with chasing every new idea at once.
↳ But I found that focusing on one concept at a time brought better results.
↳ Too many ideas left me feeling overwhelmed, with little to show for it.
I used to believe that freedom would unlock my creativity.
↳ But boundaries have brought more clarity and productivity.
↳ Whether it’s content, ideas, or growth, less has truly become more.
I’ve realized that embracing limits helps me create my best work.
2. Three Pieces of Borrowed Wisdom (B):
“Inspiration, I believe, is not found in freedom but in limitation. Boundaries are not the enemy of creativity, but the fertile ground on which it thrives. When you narrow your focus, you increase your capacity to create deeply and meaningfully.”– Phil Hansen
“People think focus means saying yes to the thing you've got to focus on. But that's not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are. You have to pick carefully. I'm actually as proud of the things we haven't done as the things I have done. Innovation is saying no to 1,000 things.”– Steve Jobs
“Creativity is often misunderstood. People often think of it in terms of artistic work—unbridled, unguided effort that leads to beautiful effect. If you look deeper, however, you’ll find that some of the most inspiring art forms—haikus, sonatas, religious paintings—are fraught with constraints.”– Marissa Mayer
3. One Hard-Hitting Question (H):
→ In what area of your life or business are you saying yes to too many things, and how could saying no lead to more meaningful progress?
